I'm engaged!! To the lovely lass pictured below. For cultural reasons it didn't quite turn out to be the one-kneed romantic gesture we all imagine as kids, but never the less the deed has been done. Just the prospective parents in-law to meet now. Wish me luck (anyone see 'meet the parents' on TV last night?)

Hooray!!!!

I'm finally unemployed!! No one's quite sure how to take this when I tell them - normally they seem to think comiserations are due.
Well to save you the trouble of asking - its GREAT!!!
No more work, cheep discounts on all sorts of stuff, and plenty of time to pursue my own interests (not that I wasn't engaging in the latter for the past 6 months at work anyway...).
Three cheers to me on my new found idleness.
